Guarantee of quality We maintain our own fully functional on site laboratory and standards reference library and our quality control staff are conversant with all aspects of the operation, maintenance and calibration of our testing equipment.

our QC personnel have many
years of industry experience, they continue to receive "on the job" and
external course training so that they can learn new work practices and stay
ahead of developments in equipment and coating technology. In addition, the QC department
enjoys the full backing of the company's senior management and it is
empowered with We also believe in the principle of 'doing it right the first time' so our clients can take comfort from the fact that our QC technicians are required to inspect and approve key aspects of the production process before operations can commence production coating. All of this means that you end up with a product that you want and we don't end up with a recall problem that we don't want.
Pipe & Materials Tracking System It has become increasingly important to identify and maintain traceability of pipe and coating materials through all stages of the manufacturing process. To this end, we have developed "SocoTrack", a sophisticated pipe & materials tracking system which allows us to monitor pipe movements and their quality status utilising barcode scanning and labelling techniques. The data captured through each of the processing steps is compiled in 'real time' and used to produce detailed reports on the completion status of the project in addition to quality and production related statistics. "SocoTrack" also compliments our raw materials testing program by maintaining traceability between the coating material batches used on each production run. In the unlikely event of coating test failures attributed to suspect materials, we are able to identify and quarantine any affected pipes whilst an investigation and rectification program is implemented. Coupled with data received from the pipe mill, "SocoTrack" provides a complete history of each pipe from pipe receipt to pipe despatch. The data is finally converted to Excel format and is burnt to CD and transmitted directly to the client and/or the construction contractor. By scanning the barcodes applied to the external coating, the contractor can access the relevant pipe record in the field and then continue to add data generated during the welding, lower-in and back fill stages of construction. |
